The name of each candidate who is present at commencement will be read aloud during the ceremony. Those who plan to attend commencement exercises may use this form to provide guidance on how to pronounce the candidate’s name.
If your name is pronounced as a native American English speaker would normally pronounce, you do not need to complete this form.
1. Record your name: Record your name -- speaking clearly and slowly -- as you listed it on the graduation application, using a cell phone. Files can be video with audio or audio only.
2. Write the phonetic pronunciation: We suggest you also write out the phonetic pronunciation of your name.
